Wabash
Iron

Strength · Social · Indianapolis

A gym in Indianapolis that pushes the limits of gym environments. Hammer Strength equipment throughout, perfect for the casual lifter, body builder, or power lifter. This space is the definition of Gym Vibes.

416 E Wabash St, Indianapolis, IN 46204

What we built

Most gyms are a room
with weights in it

Amber and yellow stage lights and a mirror ball on the ceiling truss above the gym floor

Wabash Iron is built on a simple idea: if the room is worth being in, you'll keep showing up.

So, we built the room first. Immersive LED panels transport you to a rugged coastline, a snowbound forest, or the neon glow of a city at night. We ditched the buzzing drop-ceiling fluorescents for a dynamic lighting rig that runs with the energy of your session. And when the work is earned, we roll in the haze.

Then, we filled it with equipment that actually moves the needle. We're talking plate-loaded Hammer Strength, full power racks, real barbells, and a dumbbell run that goes heavy enough to matter. Need to get your miles in? Our second-floor mezzanine cardio section offers the best view in the house.

But the workout is only part of why people keep coming back. Stick around to grab a bite, get a drink, and connect with the crew. With high-speed Wi-Fi and dedicated workspaces throughout the facility, Wabash Iron is built for the hang just as much as the heavy lifting.

The panels

Train anywhere
without leaving Indy

Huge LED panels change with the session. Cold and grey for a heavy day. Open water for conditioning. Whatever gets you through the set you didn't want to do.

The floor

Built for lifting heavy

Hammer Strength

Plate-loaded iso-lateral machines across the full movement set: press, row, pulldown, leg. The equipment serious lifters actually ask for by name.

Full power racks

Squat, bench and press in proper racks with safeties, not a half-cage in a corner. Enough of them that you are not waiting through someone else's session.

Immersive LED panels

Huge LED panels behind the floor, programmed to change with the room: a rugged coastline, a snowbound forest, a city at night.

Programmable lighting

A full overhead rig: colour, intensity and movement that shifts through the day rather than one flat setting.

Mezzanine cardio

A second-floor cardio section on the mezzanine, looking out over the training floor. The best view in the house for getting your miles in.

Unplugged

A soundproof recovery and recording room: massage guns, compression boots, aromatherapy and white noise. A $30 a month add-on for members.

Work and refuel

High-speed Wi-Fi and dedicated workspaces throughout the facility, plus a protein shake bar and meal-prep meals for after the last set.

Downtown location

On East Wabash Street, walkable from Mass Ave, Bottleworks and the Cultural Trail. Train before work or on the way home.

The social half

Strength is
a group project

The middle name is there for a reason.

Most people do not leave straight after the last set. So there is somewhere to sit: a protein shake bar, meal-prep meals to take home, and a room built for staying in rather than filing out of.

High-speed Wi-Fi and dedicated workspaces run throughout the facility, so an early session does not have to cost you the morning. Train, shower, and work from the same building.

Wabash Iron is built for the hang just as much as the heavy lifting.
